Whether you are new to sales or are an old pro, you most likely have heard that you need to be enthusiastic. This is true and there is more to it. Enthusiasm is a powerful energy, force and gift. It has contagious aspects. Some of these things you already know and have experienced. And yet there is so much more to the power and blessings that accompany enthusiasm. This is especially true when it comes to sales.

Many factors influence the sales person and the prospect/client: benefits and features; quality products and services; investment of time energy resources and money; before, during and after the sales presentation and purchase; and you, the sales person, which includes the inner game (mindset), outer game (tactics, techniques and tools), and actions (quality and timing of the actions taken or not). These, and more, are all important.

When it comes to connections, enthusiasm is your best resource. Even with everything listed in the above paragraph, who you are and how you show up directly influences your short-term and long-term sales potential.
